Creating A Life

Alright, well, here's what's to know about me!

I am a passionate follower of Christ. Although, I have not always been.

I live with my Dad, John, his girlfriend, Mercedes, and my younger sister, Searria.

I play softball for a living. Honestly, I make no money doing it, but it's what I love.

I am a straight A student. I know, now I'm bragging.

I go to Carterville Christain Church, and I absolutely enjoy it and encourage everyone to attend service at least once.

I make promises that I keep, whether they be with others, or with myself.

Someday, I plan to attend Harvard University. (But, I'll settle for Princeton)

I live by the acronym "J.O.Y." Which I was taught by my Awana's leader way back in 5th grade, Mr. David Turley.

I have been baptized twice in my life. Once when I was not cleansed and then again when I re-committed myself to Christ.

I'm a survivor. A living, breathing, survivor whose dedicated to a high power.

Well, hello there fellow bloggers!

My name is Shalaela. I am 15 years old (almost) and I live with my wonderful father and his girlfriend.

Since we are just starting off, I am not going to get into anything too personal, because yes, I want to share my story as to how my life has been changed by the grace of the King of all Kings, but I want to ease into my life slowly. This is all new to me, and I don't want to rush things. So as my story unfolds, I ask you this, bear with me. do remember that I am young and that I have made mistakes, just like many of you. I have strayed from my love and passion for Christ more than once in a blue moon, and I do understand that I had no reason to all along.

My life is more than what many of my peers and friends may or may not know of. This is my place to finally be truthful. I have seen the effects that my story has had on many people, including my own. Every time I tell of my past, I learn a little more about myself and who I have become.

Christ, my Lord, has put me through things in life, and one day, he said, "Enough." And I rose, with a smile on my face as the light of the Lord shined upon me, and I spoke. I let go, and I lived. I chose to live for Him, and now, I am showing others the way.
